Fixie Race for cicLAvia? No Bueno!

I'm posting this up NOT to promote, but to ALERT Families and kids who will be on course at the CicLAvia tomorrow.   Personally, I don't think this race is a good idea being that a lot of kids will be present.  I encourage everyone who's participating to please be courteous to the lil' ones.  This is suppose to be a fun and family/community event and not a fixie jock race.  Being a parent myself, I really don't want to see no fixie kids racing alongside my kids. CicLAvia is good event to promote cycling in Los Angeles, let's BE SAFE and PLEASE, if you're racing......DON'T PHUK THIS UP.  It's not worth it.

10-9 is Messenger Appreciation Day

In 1991, a mayoral proclamation decreed that October 9 of every year would be Messenger Appreciation Day in San Francisco. October 9 is "10-9" in radio code and means "Say again" or "What?" 10-9 Day is celebrated informally all over the world.  More details here.

Don't forget, this is going down tomorrow.  Bring the kids out for a 7 mile ride.  See you there.  FREE 10-3p
